President’s Message

Dear members, ladies and gentlemen,

I am truly honoured and grateful to have been appointed as the President of the United Sri Lanka Association New Zealand’s first and largest Sri Lankan association, with a proud history in Auckland. Over the years, our organisation has served more than 25,000 Sri Lankans living in New Zealand, and our mission remains strong to unite our community, regardless of language or religion, and to nurture the bonds that make us one nation.

As President, I am committed to strengthening these connections, supporting newcomers, and standing as a guardian when needed both for our elders and for all Sri Lankans who have made New Zealand their home. I also wish to acknowledge and deeply respect the dedication of our past Presidents and committees, whose decisions and service have shaped the Association into what it is today.

Together, we will continue to build on this legacy with gratitude, unity, and purpose.

Thank you.
Chinthaka Ranaweera
President
